Moving again!

We are moving May 23rd to new apartment because we want to save money and it's not going to happen living where we are now. Plus the new place is WAY nicer for almost $300 less. We have been told over and over again that we are paying for the name of our apartment because its in a rich area - who gives a rats ass! So dumb..... but anyways I am somewhat excited to move because we will have a first floor and with a TON of grass out back AND a garage!!! I wish we were moving in to a house but we can't find anything we like and don't have a down payment. A lot of the homes here are built very cheap and built quick. No thanks. Just going to keep looking and I'm sure we will come across something, but not right now. I can live in an apartment for a little bit longer as long as it keeps our relationship good.

Drew decided it was time to get Riley a haircut. I mean, why not?? Just to see if he looked better all trimmed up. Which he does...but hes also cute when hes really scruffy like he was. Either way hes cute. He had an evening at the "spa" where he got the works. Nails trimmed, teeth brushed, etc. I wish I had someone to brush my teeth - hehehe. Harley is not a big fan of the groomers and when I picked him up last time he went he had a look on his face "never again mom!!" So Harley won't be going to the groomers, that's moms job to do all the hard work!!

Other news:
I started work on Jan 20th. Things are going good. I am learning and it's starting to click so hopefully when I go back tomorrow the weekend wont affect my memory. Although my bum starts to really hurt after sitting on it for 2 hours! Gotta get up and walk around. It's nice...were allowed to use our cell phones and ipods so that makes the day much more relaxing. I would get annoyed hearing typing all day and people on the phone. My job is really hard to explain WHAT I do. I have a worksheet in excel I compare with in a cash balancing program and have to make sure they balance and if they don't I have to go through all these steps in figuring out why they don't balance and figure out how we can balance them. Its very routine ..... same shit over and over. It breaks things up when people e-mail me or text me.

Mardi Gras is just around the corner. I guess all the madness goes on for a couple weeks so I will get to see some interesting things!! I also met Amanda through my friend Lawson and we've hung out a few times. It makes things easier when someone else is down here and have lived in the same area before and don't know anything about Lafayette either. Lawson is going to be here on Tuesday, he was in Drew's command in 140. Him and Drew were pretty close in the navy so Drew's excited he will be here and I am too!

Super Bowl is right around the corner which makes me sad. Me, Ali and Tab's Super Bowl 2008 will never be forgotten (from what I can remember, lol). We had so much fun.....pretty much one of the best times we all had together.

So we gave in and gave the lil shits more space besides their dinky little kennel. We only let them in the kitchen for 1-3 hours, never any longer. Maybe Harley, we will try it out sometime. Its both their first time not being in a kennel while mommy and daddy are out and about. We are going to get a new gate like Tabs with the door and hopefully them a new bed or separate beds along with the cats a new bed. Damn pets are so expensive sometimes....!!!

Soooo... Tab gave me the inspiration to clean up my house a little bit and take a few pictures. If we had a 2nd bedroom it would be much less cluttered and we'd have places to actually put stuff. Only 4 months left in the dinky apartment and hopefully I'll have a job so we can buy a condo or something. I have a interview tomorrow and also applied at Kohl's for backup. Ugh, oh well... I need to get off my butt!!

The trip to Iowa for Christmas was short and sweet. I did not take any pictures because I forgot, and well yep, I am very lazy! I got lots of giftcards, last 2 twilight books, rice cooker, sconces to hang on the walls, gps, sex and the city movie, wall-e, victoria's secret make-up, new running nike shox, and jessica simpson flats! I never knew Jessica Simpson had her own shoe line but they are soooo freakin cute!!!! These are the shoes I got. They are perfect for my interview outfit! I want these. But I am too tall :(

I just wanted to say I really miss my girls. You don't realize how much you really miss people until you're stuck in a state that you don't know anyone but your significant other and hes gone for 3 weeks. I wish I had a job so I can meet people but then on the other hand I am glad I don't so I know I can go home next week for Christmas. I can't imagine being all alone on Christmas. That would be terrible. Anyways, I miss Tab and Ali so much....I'll never forget all the good times we had together if it was just 2 of us or all 3. I love you guys.

Yep I did another picture today.. can't help it.

So I thought I'd update my blog before I head out to Iowa on Tuesday or Wednesday, most likely Tuesday. =) I am nervous to drive my car but I hope it will be OK after Toyota here in Lafayette said I had numerous oil leaks. Who really knows if that is true because they were most likely just trying to take advantage of me - jerks!! The forecast for the drive is clear so that's good, won't run into any snow but it's going to be chilly in Iowa. Gotta bring sweaters for my little Har bar! My dad is going to have Toyota in Iowa look at my car cuz they don't screw him over. I hope everything goes ok. If not, hope I have verizon coverage the entire way! :/ better look into that one......

I think I have applied at a million jobs. I pray to God that I get a 'bite' this week or next. I don't mind sitting at home but I am really starting to get bored and pretty much all I do is sleep or go somewhere with the dogs like petsmart. I just found out there is a dog park in Iowa so I hope to get the dogs there at least once unless it is too cold. I really miss that about Washington. Riley is so dang hyper without the daily dogpark/beach routine. It really sucks. You'd think there would be a dog park here....dumb! I guess we will live. Only 5 months longer in a dinky apartment and maybe we can find someplace with a yard. Although I do love the apartment. Its in such a good location and I feel 100% safe while Drew is gone. Oh wait I forgot I spend time in front of the TV playing COD4 and COD5 or watching HGTV, TLC, The Hills or Netflix. We just got Netflix and I love it. Screw Blockbuster!!!

I am getting scared..... we move in 5 days. I am going someplace where I only know 1 person. Just like when I moved to Washington, but I knew 2. Not much different. I am very scared, just like how I was when I left Iowa. Adjusting to a new place and making friends is one of the hardest thing in your life. I hope it works out.

Here's the layout of the new place:

We're going from a two bedroom townhouse to a one bedroom apartment, although this place is REALLY nice. And its only 6 months of living in 840 sq feet versus our 1000 sq foot townhouse. The thing I like is the walk in closet, big bath tub and built in book shelves. We are going to get a storage garage because of course, we have too much crap. I am excited to finally use my kitchen table again after almost 2 years. It sucks not having one sometimes! Hopefully it doesn't turn into the junk table.

Spence gets to come home tomorrow. He had a blockage in his bladder due to bad diet and being over weight 2 pounds. Needless to say I have learned not to give any of my pets crap food cuz you will pay for it in the end. I have them on diet food now because its not healthy for them to be over weight (duh) and I just don't want to pay the expensive vet bills ever again. I am happy for Spence to come home tomorrow. Poor guy hates the vet as it is. I'm sure he will be happy to be home although its covered in boxes.

Well hi! Haha.... I decided to delete my old blog because it was not cute and I forgot to update it and by forgot I mean I was lazy. eee. Sorry Tab. I am going to try my best to keep this updated regularly and NO that does not mean daily. Maybe weekly if you're lucky. We're moving October 28th to Lafayette, Louisiana. Drew got out of the Navy and is still a BIG shock to me. Everyone thought he was a "lifer" but evidently when you get $0 for reenlisting it just isn't worth it, so why not get out and make more money and be closer to home. Hokay! Sounded good to me. Hopefully it is a decent place. I've never been to Louisiana so I hope its okay. Going to be muggy and all that fun stuff...hurricanes, mosquitos, humidty. You name it! I will miss Oak Harbor because its nice to feel safe in a town due to the military base. You can leave your doors unlocked and not have to worry, I don't think it will be like that there. But on the brighter side, at least there is Super Walmart. I know sad, but I just really love it. And I also love not having to drive 45 minutes to go shopping. That will be really nice. I am going to miss my friends so much. It always happens that you meet some of your bestest friends and then have to leave them. But thats the military for ya. You meet awesome people and then they leave (like me) haha. I already miss my Spearski (Golliharski) so much and even though were so far apart we still manage to keep in touch. I am lucky enough to have her come tag along with us to Lafayette for a few weeks and couldn't be more excited! I am also happy to have someone to help me organize my clutter, cuz damn Alibear is AMAZING at it. Good god shes gonna be a good lil housewifey! hehehe. And Tabs we had lots and lots of fun times together...I can't even explain how many and we also were very good at running errands, almost too good at it sometimes. We know how to shop the clearance racks or go to the thrift store and find some steals that we can take home and add our own special touch to them and make things so cute! Basically what I am trying to say is that I LOVE MY FRIENDS! I will miss you guys and thanks for being there for me through thick and thin. You will have to come visit me and I will come visit you!
